Golden showers again

After stitching up the bunch of golden showers, I was keen on trying an individual flower from the whole bunch. The bunch did not require much thinking, but the single flower did. I wanted to try and recreate the little flower as much as possible. Here are the pictures of my attempts :

Except for the calyx and the stem, the complete flower is dimensional. This yellow is a little different from the actual color of the golden shower. But this is all I had.

Another view. Does it resemble the actual flower? If not we'll think of another name [smile]

You're not bored, are you? Here's another view to show you the bud.

I've stitched up both this and the full bunch for the State flower challenge at our BDEIG-online group. Though Iam pretty happy with the outcome, I am sure experts will find a few faults .
Whether it passes the test or not - let us wait and watch. I'll soon let you know how I fared.

Love,luck and sunshine,
Deepa
