Hi everyone,
Love,luck and sunshine,
Deepa
Iam just a little bit late for my usual weekly post. The past week was rather busy - we celebrated Meghna's 5th b'day,my mom was around for a few days and I was trying to cram programming logic into my student's brain. Tomorrow he's going to write his semester exam and I've just reminded him once again that he needs to complete his sentences while answering questions. How yu mak sensse senntenencess lik thes? (grin) Well, this is how he writes :))
In between celebrations, gupshupping(chit chatting) with mom ,cooking and teaching I managed to finish a brazilian embroidery piece. With all imperfections, let me present...
The pattern has been actually stitched on the back of an old shirt of my DH. The fabric was quite sturdy and hence suitable for BE .Besides I was not too confident about how the pattern will turn out to be.It does need a good wash to remove those pencil marks.
The same shirt had another pattern which I had stitched long time back. This too was a trial. Now that both the trials have turned out to be not so bad, Iam planning to do a few more on the same shirt and cut out each into circular patches. But where do I fix them?..That's the question that needs a solution :)
Love,luck and sunshine,
Deepa
As always amaze me your embroidery.

Hi Deepa...I like very much "GOLDEN SHOWERS".I don't think I ever seen this done in embroidery. A lot of work just on that piece. The other design, the orange and purple color are great together,of course purple is my favorite color, and that orange color is sure vibrant.

ReplyDeleteStunning Deepa.... why don't you cut them out in squares, add some patchwork around them and either turn them into cushions, or do two more and turn it into a small table cloth, or two for a table runner.... oooooh, so many ideas for such lovely work! Hugs.
