Once I finished up on the stem stitch and outline stitch , the next stitch on the list was Split stitch. I knew the stitch theoretically but had never ever tried it on cloth. Here's the attempt.
I used 4 strands of anchor cotton floss. This one tested my patience, since I had to try and split the strands by half. I did try but haven't adhered to it so strictly. Does it show?
Tip : Always use even number of strands - 2 ( for fine line), 4 (heavier),6 (very heavy line) so that you can split the threads by equal number for the stitch.
This is the third method for outlining. For the first two methods, click here. Next methods coming up soon.
