I've just completed the flower part of the first basket called Creeping Flower. There are French Knots ,Long-tailed French Knots or Pistil Stitch,Bullions ,Stem Stitch and Couching for fine growth and branches. As is the practice, the threads used are EDMAR rayon threads. Here is a close up..psssst....don't look very closely at my bullions and french knots...they are the work of an amatuer.
Brazilian Embroidery is a three dimensional embroidery form done using Z-twisted Rayon threads. For those of you who are interested in learning BE,here is the link to the free designs at http://www.brazilian-dimensional-embroidery.org/ .

Loop-Stitch Embroidery: Peruvian and Elizabethan, Durkin, Jennie. The Bulletin of the Needle and Bobbin Club, Vol. 72 (1989)
Ofcourse ,there are minor differences when compared with Elizabeth's variation, but there are similarities too.
I'll leave a comment at quieter moments so that she can come and have a look.

As usual,my camera doesn't do justice to the colors.May be some day I'll get a better one.
All are different variations of wheat ear, except for the base and stem of the blue flower.
For the top curve from the left hand side I've done detached wheat ear,Elizabeth's variation of wheat ear (if you pull it too tight the cloth puckers ),wheat ear type 1,wheat ear type 2 and the variations in detached wheat ear.
These are the my sources of info about wheatear
Wheat ear variation 2,Detached Wheatear,Tete de Boeuf - Needlecrafter.com
There's a wheatear stitch sampler here too.
